Kevin Clarkson is a professional marine photographer who exhibits at The Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition in London where he won the Classic Boat prize in 2020. Kevin has recently painted a lively 60 x 44 cm picture, in acrylic, of the Gamecock racing in the Swale which he has generously donated to the Charity for sale. The painting is based on a contemporary photograph previously donated to the Charity and all proceeds will help fund the boat’s restoration. It has been valued at £2,500.
It is very much the wish of the Board of Whitstable Maritime that the painting remains in the town and the first public viewing is at Whitstable Framing (9 Oxford Street Whitstable, CT5 1DB), from Tuesday 9 July to Saturday 20 July.
